Tips and Help on Using This Mapping Tool
Each time you search for a new address the marker will be automatically positioned at that address and the map centered. You can however move the marker to any location on the map, or even scroll the map to a new location and move the marker there. To move the marker simply left click on the marker and while holding the mouse button down drag the marker to the desired spot.
Zooming In/Out
The map supports a number of zoom levels so you can see more or less of the map on the screen at any time by zooming either in or out. A quick way to Zoom In one level is to just double click with the left mouse button. You can Zoom Out one level by double clicking the right mouse button. Alternatively you can use the map control located at the top left of the map. Use the '-' at the very buttom to zoom out one level or the '+' at the top to zoom in one level. You can also click along the graduated bar between the '-' and '+' to zoom straight to that level.
Moving the Map
You can scroll the map to reveal areas located off map by clicking the left mouse button and while holding the mouse button down moving the mouse. The map will scroll in the direction of the movement. You can keep scrolling the map as far as you like. You can also use the arrows located on the map control at the top left of the map.
Changing the Map Mode/View
There are three views available for displaying the map. You can change the current view by clicking one of the three view buttons - Map, Satellite or Hybrid - located at the top right of the map. The Map view is the default view and resembles a street directory. The Satellite view shows a top-down colour image taken from space and the Hybrid view shows the streets overlaid on top of the Satellite. Note that not all areas have satellite imagery available.

When The System Can't Find Your Suburb
If the suburb can not be located (due to a spelling mistake for instance), a suburb locator popup window will appear. The system will attempt to find all suburbs with similar names. Browse the results and click on the desired suburb name to replace your suburb and click Find again. You can also scroll the map to any of the suburb results without leaving the suburb window. This may be handy if you want to check the location of the suburb first before using it. Click the
icon. If none of the suburbs match, you can enter another suburb in the top of the Suburb Locator window and even change the state if required. The Find Similar Matches option will find suburbs which sound the same or contain the suburb searched for. When you know the suburb you can also search a given radius from that suburb by using the Include all suburbs option and entering the radius in the space provided. Click the Search Now button to re-search after making any changes.

Locating an Address
To locate a specific address enter the street number, street name, suburb and state in to the fields provided and click the Find button. Note that for units or lots only enter the street number and not the unit number (eg. 105 and not 10/105). Occassionally the system may not be able to find the exact street address. In this case you can also enter only the street, suburb and state, or just the suburb and state. When The System Can't Find Your Suburb
